St Joseph`s Hospice in Thornton, Merseyside, offers high-quality, professional nursing care within a peaceful, home from home environment surrounded by 12 acres of beautiful woodland gardens. The hospice cares for around 200 people ever year from across a diverse geographical area, which includes Sefton, Liverpool and West Lancashire. Each diocese is within a Province - a group of Dioceses - the Archdiocese is the main Diocese within that Diocese. The bishop of that Archdiocese is therefore automatically an Archbishop. If a bishop has been made an Archbishop personally is referred to as an Archbishop but it does not make their Diocese an Archdiocese.
